How To Mix

Heads Up 100 oz. Mix Method (when used with other seed treatments or liquid carriers)

Application rate: 0.5 oz / cwt

What you need:

• Regular pitcher that can comfortably hold 50 oz of water (will need space to stir). We mark off the 50 oz point with a marker.
• One gallon jug of distilled water
• Clean container that holds at least one gallon and will allow for vigorous shaking (needs a lid).
• One package of Heads Up
• Large spoon, or something similar for stirring 
• Funnel, we just used a disposable paper oil funnel

Suggested Pre-Slurry Method 

1. Empty the full package (58 grams) of Heads Up into 50 oz of distilled water.
2. Shake or stir this mixture until all the product is dissolved, usually in a few minutes
3. Top up the container with water to make 100-ounce solution. Shake well. In this method, the 100 oz solution of Heads Up will carry to treat 400 units (20,000 lbs of seed) at a rate of 0.5 oz/cwt.

Once Pre-slurried the product can be mixed in with other seed treatment or inoculants. Ensure all products applied to the seed through the treater at time of application allow for a minimum of 5 to 8 oz/cwt.

If treating less than 400 units / 20,000 lbs of seed at a time, refrigerate the unused solution and use within 7-10 days.

Heads Up – Mixing For Use On Its Own

Application rate: 1 gram of Heads Up treats up to 360 lbs of seed @ 9.4 oz/cwt

Mix at a ratio of 1 gram of Heads Up Seed Treatment per 34 ounces (1 Liter) of distilled water.

Total Package – Mix 58 grams of Heads Up into 58 Liters, or 15.40 gal (1972 ounces) of water.

34 ounces (one liter) of solution will treat up to 360 lbs of legume or cereal seed. Apply to seed at final application rate of 9.4 oz/cwt

If treating less than 400 units / 20,000 lbs of seed at a time, refrigerate the unused solution and use within 7-10 days. Shake solution well before use.
